Niche Product to Sell on eBay - Flight Socks

DVT (deep vein thrombosis) is a condition that is caused by blood clot partially or fully blocking a blood vessel. Thousands of people are affected by DVT each year. When blood flow is slowed (this can be caused by something like sitting still for a long period of time), clots are more likely to form in the deep veins in your legs. Dry air and dehydration can encourage DVT as well. The symptoms of DVT are pain or swelling in part of your leg. There is a risk of fatality because the clot could make its way to your brain or lungs.

DVT has a hypothetical link to flying because people are forced to sit for such long periods of time. It has even been nicknamed “economy class syndrome.”

One way to reduce the risk of DVT is through compression. Flight socks have been shown to reduce a person’s risk of Deep Vein Thrombosis by 90%. A side benefit of flight socks is that they also improve edema (unusual water retention).

Researchers believe that flight socks work because they apply pressure to a person’s calf, which in turn applies pressure to veins that are deep inside the leg. That causes blood to pump more rapidly and helps prevent clots.

Compression bandages can have the same affect. They are best applied around your ankles and encourage blood flow in the same way the flight socks do.

Flight socks and compression bandages could be a wonderful niche product for eBay, especially if you sell travel or health care items.

5 Best iPad Accessories to Sell on eBay

Accessories and complimentary products for more expensive items are a great niche product to sell in your Amazon or eBay store. One of the most popular items right now is the Apple iPad. There are a variety of accessories available for it, giving you plenty to choose from. Here are a few ideas -
The ILuv Glarefree Protective Film is designed to protect the iPad screen from fingerprints, dust, and scratches, while also giving users the ability to change the angle of the screen for easier viewing. The Protective Film is 19.99 and almost invisible.

It has a soft lining to protect the touch screen and is available in black and purple with laser designs. The case can even be washed, making it great for everyday use. It retails for $29.99.
Another case option for iPad users is the Scosche KickBack iPad Stand. It’s made from rubber and polycarbonate, making the case shatterproof. Free Promotion for Your eBay Products

eBay and online sellers are always looking for new ways to promote their products. The internet is vast and infinite and there are unlimited opportunities for exposing your product to your target audience. Many of these strategies are free.

If you want to get the word out on the internet about your product but don’t have time to sit on Facebook and Twitter networking, try this technique - blogger outreach. Leverage the power of the blogosphere to reach your target audience.

Have you ever visited blogs with product reviews? This is an easy way to reach your target audience who is already assembled in one place, interested in what you sell, and accessible. Here is what to do.

1) Go to sites including Techorati, Blog Catalog, Google Blogsearch and Twitter and search for blogs about your niche product. Maybe your product is hunting, camping, and survival gear. You won’t want to target your competitors that sell the same types of items you do. You want to target blogs that discuss topics like camping and hunting retreats, family travel tips, adventure vacations, outdoor survival skills and tips, etc.

2) Seek highly trafficked blogs. The more visitors, the better. To see how much traffic a blog gets, look for the SiteMeter widget and click on it to view the stats. Or, look for the Feedburner widget that says how many readers the blog has. You also want to look for blogs with lots of comments on the posts, which is an indicator of the blog’s popularity with its readers.

3) Next, using email, Facebook, or Twitter, contact the owner of the blog and ask if he will do a product review. Then, send that blogger the actual product so he can use it and form her opinion and write the review. Most bloggers won't turn down a freebie.

4) The blogger doesn't have to like your product - and they may not. The blogger is going to give it an honest review. Whether they like it or not isn't the point - you will still get exposure online and have a highly trafficked site linking to your products. (A little controversy is good sometimes - it gets people talking about you and looking at your site.)

Think about how this can work for you. Large companies use this marketing technique all the time. Pharmaceutical companies use doctor's offices to promote and introduce their new products to the end user - patients. Food companies use grocery stores to set up demos of their new products to reach the consumer. You can use the blogosphere to do the same thing!

Medical Marijuana Supplies - Niche Product to Sell on eBay

China was the first country known to use marijuana beginning in 2500 B.C. They realized that ingesting marijuana (cannabis sativa) produced a euphoric affect and also helped relieve pain. The use of marijuana has spread to many other countries since then. Marijuana arrived in America when it was first colonized by Britain, and was commonly used to relieve pain and encourage appetites. Some people also used it just for the euphoria. After World War I, the American government studied the use of marijuana and its effects and determined that it was bad for morals and the American culture.

The legalization of marijuana is an ongoing issue in the world today. Part of that issue is using marijuana medicinally. Until marijuana was outlawed in 1937, it was a common pain reliever. In recent years doctors have discovered that it not only is a good pain killer, but that it also helps to reduce nausea for patients that are on chemotherapy. Studies have not shown that marijuana is a better pain reliever than other medications. But, numerous cancer patients have reported that marijuana is the only treatment that reduced their nausea. Because of its positive uses, California became the first state to legalize marijuana for medical purposes in 1996. Washington, D.C. and fifteen other states have followed. After the California law was passed, the Supreme Court said that states were not allowed to pass laws contradicting federal law. They also stated that any doctor who prescribed medical marijuana faced the possibility of having his license revoked. However, the laws have not been overturned yet.

Medical marijuana supplies are actually a good seller on eBay. Sell through rates for listings with the keywords “medical marijuana” are 46% for the last 45 days. Products include jars, vials, and information products. Whatever your opinion on medical marijuana, you can’t deny there is a market for the supplies.
