Thanks to my readers who took time to send in their comments about the Hot List. I appreciate your feedback!
From JS in South Carolina,
"I just wanted to drop you a line and let you know how much help you are. I purchased your Hot List book last night and there were some real eye openers in it. I wanted to thank you on the [tip on Facebook Group] as well. I got very lucky and found 2 of them in a clearance bin for 7.99 each. Found I found 4 more regular price, put everything together and someone purchased the lot for just over $200. Not bad and easily the best profit deal to date for me. [Profit = $160 for one sale.]"
From RP,
"Thanks for the Hot List. I found them all to be very valuable. As we speak, my husband is out getting some [tip on Facebook Group] -(I called ahead and had them hold them for me). I will certainly be buying your next tips update; saves me time as eBay is so very time consuming for me!"
From AM in Charlotte, NC,
"Thank you Suzanne! I live on the outskirts of Charlotte, NC and I found 9 of one of the items yesterday and already sold my first lot this morning on eBay! My profit was about $25.00 per auction. I listed three auctions on Sunday night and sold out last night. my husband went found 14 more this afternoon. I hope I can sell these as quickly as the first!"
From M.R. in Florida,
"Thanks for putting together the Hot List. I have looked into the toys you mentioned, and although the profit is only about $15-$20 on an item that costs $50 to buy, the beauty is that you only have to create the listing once then hit RELIST whenever you want to list another one. Thrift store and garage sale items are great, but since each is unique, you have to take the pictures, write the listing, and do each one individually. I've been looking for a way to put some items in my store on auto-pilot - this is going to be such a time-saver. You pointed me in the right direction to get started!"
I agree, M.R. - the best way to keep a consistent eBay income is to obtain inventory from a variety of sources. If one of your inventory sources dries up, you will have backup. Automating as much as possible is much more time and energy efficient, although the profit margin is smaller. Thrift store and garage sale finds can bring a much higher profit per item, but the time investment is much greater. Each method has its advantages and disadvantages.
I'm so glad that all of you (and hopefully others) are profiting from these tips and I wish you the best of luck with your eBay selling!
