Another item to look for at thrift stores, garage sales, and estate sales is Griswold cast iron items. Authentic Griswold has the cross and the Griswold logo on the bottom or back. Authentic Griswold is true vintage. Some of the larger and hard to find pieces sell for over $2,000 on eBay. (Click here to see one that sold for $2,000!) You or your relatives may have some of this in your home already and know the value.
The Griswold Manufacturing Company of Erie, PA manufactured cast iron cookware between 1865 and the 1950’s. Look for skillets, stock pots, muffin pans, waffle irons, and dutch ovens. Here are a few completed listings.
