You guys are really keeping me busy with store critiques! I love doing them.
There is one common issue that keeps coming up with clothing sellers. It is imperative that you include fabric content, measurements, and brand names.
Always include fabric content; just include what is on the tag. The customer needs to know what the item is made of. Also include care instructions such as machine wash tumble dry, dry clean only, etc.
Always, always include measurements! The more measurements, the better. It takes a bit more time to include these measurements, but your listing will be much more thorough. Customers may not email you for measurements, but click away and move on to another seller who has already included them. Buyers are lazy and in a hurry, they don't want to wait for a question to be answered. Don't lose a prospective buyer because your listing doesn't have enough information.
The brand may not be a high-end designer brand, but that is ok, include the brand name anyway. You’d be surprised how many people find a Walmart or Target or other affordable clothing brand they like and search for it on eBay. Make sure you include the name so searchers can find your items. Visit sites like LL Bean, Kohl’s, or JC Penney and look at how the clothing is described. Use those sites as a guide for how to word your clothing listings.
I hope this info helps!
